One of the brilliant Kannadasn lyrics, set to tune by K.V. Mahadevan for Veera Abimanyu in Raga Sahana. Of course, you know I am going to say that not knowing Tamil is a serious problem in understanding the beauty of the lyrics, but I found the video of the song for you to listen to, where you can get the idea of the play of the word "Thén" which stands for Honey as well as a common word ending.

"I saw, smiled, and asked you to come close. That day, I imagined you to be honey and was flabbargasted (malaithen) at the thought of you being the honey from the hills (malaithen)".

"I saw, smiled, and yearned to come close. (Repeat the rest from above)".

"I thought that the honey that is in the creepers is our clans', so I drank a bucket of it through my sight. Never let a drop fall down and enjoyed it immensely. Embraced it and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty".

"I flowered the same way as the honey in the flowers (Please help someone!). I grew up just for you and married you when I was ready. Took it, Gave it and also Enjoyed it! I became sweet for you, and silently finished the "story"".
