Do you mean: if you live in the Lap of luxury, then 'down pillows' might replace 'the Lap' -- and so as you go up in the luxury scale, you might go down in the intimacy one (I presume we are talking 'legal lap' here ????)

But the lyric is pretty consistent unlike many new songs which are all over and you wonder what they mean!!
